Nice run through Red Deer

Full Review:

Fairly scenic run along mainly paved paths. Felt that the course wasn't marked well enough and almost went the wrong way once and had to ask some dog walkers if they saw any racers ahead of my go by. Speaking of dog walkers, there were quite a few of them along one section in the second half of the race. Had to avoid leashes along with the 4 (and 2) legged animals.

Post race food was pretty good at the finisher area.

Race Tips:

It's not a flat course but the elevation changes aren't too drastic. Much of the race is in the river valley but you cross it multiple times so there is a climb up to get to the bridges. There is short but steep up then downhill in the last mile of the race. The timing of it makes it more challenging than it probably is.

Small race so spent a lot of it alone. Peaceful but competitiveness might have waned by not seeing other runners.

Travel/Logistics Tips:

Ample parking at start. Lot of portatoilets at the start line but there were still line ups.
