Mississauga Marathon

Mississauga, ON
Sunday, April 25, 2027

  5 Stars from 3 Reviews

Course Description
The downhill Mississauga Marathon course loses approximately 250 feet from start to finish. There are some small hills around 10km and 30km. This downhill and flat course, coupled with relatively good temperatures on a typical race day, can lead to PRs and BQs for many runners. If the weather is cooler than normal and the humidity is low, the Mississauga Marathon can be one of the fastest courses in Canada and the United States.

The course starts at Mercer St. & Princess Royal Dr at Square One and makes its way west across the Credit River to Mississauga Road and then travels south for a stretch past the University of Toronto's Mississauga Campus, Mississaugua Golf and Country Club, and continues through residential neighborhoods, before winding along Lake Ontario Waterfront Trail, and finishing on the edge of Lake Ontario at Lakefront Promenade Park.

Great Race

Full Review:

I really enjoyed this race. It is well organized and has plenty of aid stations. It is well marked and not crowded at all for the full marathon if you prefer running in a smeller running field. There is some tricky hills that slowed me down in the last ten miles, makes me want to come back again next year and redeem myself.

Race Tips:

Don't get too carried away on the downhills in the beginning start conservatively and be prepared for the up hills during the last 15k

Travel/Logistics Tips:

If you're able to, stay in downtown Mississauga so you can walk to the start line

Full Review:

Definitely a great downhill for PBs and BQs. Very entertaining event too. Came for my run the first year but brought the whole family back the next to enjoy it.

Race Tips:

Scenic. Great race bag. Not normally concerned with that type of things for runs but this one was loaded. Some nice added value.

They do receive discounted rates from partner hotels and offer a free shuttle service.

Full Review:

Fantastic course, very scenic, not too crowded, well organized. Totally enjoyable!

Race Tips:

The first 8 miles are noticeably downhill, whereas around mile 18 or 19 it feels like the inclines are bigger than they are, so pace yourself!

Travel/Logistics Tips:

Taxis can cost you an arm and a leg if you don't know where to stay. I would recommend staying by the Square One Mall, which is the start line. There are also shuttles from the finish line back to Square One. This will save you a lot of $!
