Notable Sections Runners will head out of downtown Malad City onto quiet country roads with almost zero traffic. Key sections require climbing out of the town to ride the valley ridges before descending back toward the halfway point and finish. The route is highly exposed to the elements, featuring wide-open views of barley fields and hay meadows under the Idaho sky, with the Sublett Range to the west and the Bannock Range to the east framing the entire horizon.
