**From the Race Organizer regarding the 2026 race - "We were recently informed that due to severe storm damage to multiple sections of our race course, we will not be permitted to use the original course for the 2026 Tunnel Marathons..." More Info.

We have updated the course information on FindMyMarathon.com with the new 2026 course information.

The downhill Light at the End of the Tunnel Marathon course is a very fast course and usually one the top Boston Qualifiers. The course is mostly packed gravel on an old railway with an average decline of 2.2%. Runners will also run just over two miles through a tunnel.

The course is also home to the Tunnel Vision and Tunnel Light Marathon.
