The Kenai River Marathon is a mostly flat to rolling course that starts with a run through Old Town Kenai. After leaving town, the course travels along the Unity Trail which links Kenai and Soldotna.
The route winds through the residential area of Soldotna before it connects with the Unity Trail along the Kenai Spur Highway which brings runners back to Kenai.
The Kenai River Marathon was the 543rd largest marathon in the U.S. last year and was the 519th largest in 2022.
Its Course Score of 98.94 ranks it as the 206th fastest marathon course in the U.S. and the 2nd fastest course in Alaska.
