Course Description
The Golden Gate Headlands Marathon starts and finishes at Rodeo Beach located at Fort Cronkite in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (west of the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin County).

The course runs along the trail through the Marin Headlands,with panoramic vistas of the Golden Gate Bridge, the San Francisco cityscape and the Pacific shoreline.

The course is a combination of single track hiking trails, fire roads, pavement and a beach crossing.
