Course Description
The Bear Lake Idaho Marathon is part of a three day series with one race each in Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming.

The course is about 80% dirt road. It travels past the scenic Bear Lake National Wildlife Refuge, through the small farming town of Dingle, Idaho and loops around marshes and pastures before returning through Dingle and finishing on the beach at Bear Lake Hot Springs.

Full Review:

Companion race to Bear Lake Utah where runners run the northern half of the lake mainly in Idaho. 50 staters can do this race on Friday then run Utah on Saturday. Super flst until final 10K when you can some hills on the eastern side of lake.

Race Tips:

Limited support for this race which means water stops every 3 miles so you should bring a bottle to fill up. The wait post race for the shuttle can be a while but we soaked out legs in Bear lake to pass the time. Cold for the early (6:00 am ) start and still cool by the end. Super scenic race!

Travel/Logistics Tips:

Garden city is lovely. Easy, free parking. I stayed in Logan (50 minutes away) which was fine by me.
