They had to bus you up to the start, and we were there an hour and 45 minutes before race start. We didn’t leave the shuttle spot till 10 minutes before race start. We had a 30 minute ride.
We arrived 30 minutes after start time, but worse yet - the timing mat for the start was pulled. Which made it possible your marathon time wouldn’t qualify for Boston. The selling point on this marathon was a fast downhill race that wouldn’t suffer a timing penalty for the elevation decline.
There also wasn’t enough water tables for a course that mostly open to sunny skies. The fact that the start line personnel didn’t know when the last entrants had arrived is inexcusable. These marathons cost plenty .
