Real runner feedback on course feel, crowd support, aid stations, and logistics (parking, hotels, restaurants).
This course is very hilly. I ran this race for my first marathon and missed my goal time by 4 minutes. Found out later at the finish that most people do not PR at this race.
If you are planning on running this race hill train, hill train, hill train
There are plenty of inexpensive hotels nearby. The start and finish are at the Paddock mall so parking was not an issue.
Well organized friendly race through rolling hills and horse farms. A little more hilly than expected for a Florida marathon. Very small marathon with about 100 finishers. There is also a half marathon and a 5K. Weather was cold at the start and warm at the finish.
No pacers so find someone to run with. Mile markers but the only clock was at the finish. You will however feel special since the water stop volunteers know who you are.
We stayed at the Hilton about a half mile away. Parking at the start is very easy and convenient.
