  Fast course/Small event

Review

Really liked that it was a small local event and the course was relatively flat for New England. If you want to put up a good time in early spring this is the event for you. If you enjoy the pomp and circumstance of big events this might not be your cup of tea, but for me it was just right. It starts out in an industrial park which was an old navy base, but once you get on the bike trail come mile 7 the scenery gets much better. Which makes for a nicer more enjoyable run. It was a little more hilly than advertised, but very manageable for any skill level. There was also more than enough water stops and some gels/bars, if needed at some. The after race festivities were nothing to write home about, pizza, chips, bananas, little pies and waters. What I did like is the printed results on a receipt right after you finished. That was a nice bonus. If you a looking for a no thrills race that's that runs fast this race is a great choice.

Race Tips

This is a fast course great choice for a PR and it's early spring so it will be perfect temperatures 40-50.

Logistical Tips (Hotels, Restaurants, Parking, Discounts, etc.)

I town place which is a Marriott hotel it was like 5 minutes away.

Review

Beautiful course once runners are a few miles from the Start/Finish. The course is mostly flat and fast. A small out-and-back was added at the finish to get the course certified. I didn't like that at all and it needs to be fixed.
