Real runner feedback on course feel, crowd support, aid stations, and logistics (parking, hotels, restaurants).
They took very good care of us, especially on a hot (63-93*F) and windy day. They had water about every 2 miles and potties almost the same. On such a hot day, they had a shower truck come by to cool us off if needed, and they kept with us back-of-the-packers the last 5 miles to ensure we didn't overheat. Not much for fans, very rural location, only 35-ish runners so a solitary run, for the most part. Tshirt and medal weren't so great.
Total gain: 766 ft, nearly all gravel, lots of rolling hills (some brief and steep, and some slow, long gradual grade), WIDE OPEN vistas of wheat country. Few fans along the route. Water and/or potty stops about every 2-3 miles.
No nearby hotels so bring your camper or book in a neighboring town early.
