Real runner feedback on course feel, crowd support, aid stations, and logistics (parking, hotels, restaurants).
Prepare for the hills! If you're training for it at sea level-remember that the elevation difference will be a factor in your finishing time
Staying at a hotel downtown, near trax and library square makes it the easiest
Terrific course. You get to run through most of the great areas around/in Salt Lake City. Plenty of water stations in appropriate places, and the volunteers/crowds are awesome. On the downside, bib pickup is poorly run, and only a couple of on course photos are taken.
While this course is net downhill, all the down is in the first 5 miles. From there it is pretty constant uphill until mile 16, then back down. There is a nasty hill that lasts about a mile at mile 9.
Trax works very well to get to the start and home.
