Real runner feedback on course feel, crowd support, aid stations, and logistics (parking, hotels, restaurants).
Marathon was just one race of a whole fun running weekend. In keeping w/ the Woodstock theme there were bands, camping, yoga, tie dying and extra fun runs. Many folks just cam for their race and then left but if you stay the weekend it will be a way more satisfying experience.
Its a trail race w/ many hills, some quite steep. While runners must pay attention to footing I never felt the course was exceedingly dangerous. Its a two loop course that is well marked. 7 aid stations. All w/ water and gatorade some w/ gel.
The website lists some local hotels but runners really should camp and enjoy the vibe! Great peace sign (of course) medal. There was race day packet pick-up.
