Real runner feedback on course feel, crowd support, aid stations, and logistics (parking, hotels, restaurants).
Well organized race with beautiful mountain views. High school student volunteers at every aid stations that were very high energy.
If you are not trained for altitude, don't expect a PR/PB. Just enjoy the scenery. The second half flattens out quite a bit as the scenery turns to farmlands. Save energy for it.
Stayed at a hotel right at the start/finish area. Only a few burger and taco joints in Huntsville. Decent food options in Ogden (30 min drive).
I def. want to do this again!
Downhill and cold. Better impossible.
It is a non-profit race...
Stunning beauty. Very well organized, couldn't believe all the amenities for newer organization.
First several miles felt like I was holding back, conserving energy for later miles but the splits were still coming back pretty fast due to the nice downhill grade.
