Real runner feedback on course feel, crowd support, aid stations, and logistics (parking, hotels, restaurants).
Old course (2024) was a nearly identical double loop, which could cause (and did in 2024) confusion. For 2025 they removed that confusion by changing most of the first half of the course, removing the gravel trail sections and replacing with paved trails on the 1st loop. Which will result in a faster overall time.
The 2nd loop spends a large portion of hard packed gravel trails, and a section can be a bit windy. But the last turn around at approx 32km usually has the wind at your back and the last 6km is back on paved trails which really helps when you need it the most.
Perfect time of year. Warms up but still cool. The only thing I'm not a fan of (and it's just me) is it's two 21.1 loops.
There are two wooded bridges. The first one can be a bit slippy. Otherwise, amazing race!
Some very affordable AirBnBs..also if you get to town on Saturday before 1pm check out the Boyce's farmers market!!
I love the course. Friendly volunteers and cheering spectators.
