Review

This is a very well run small marathon. Course support is excellent w/ police at virtually every intersection. Great swag w/ a long sleeve tech shirt, a nice cap and a heavy medal. There's a long 6 to 7 mile ugly section along a 4 lane highway but rest of course is nice. Only 5 Port-a-johns at race start which wasn't enough even for such a small race. Later miles can get lonely and runners shouldn't need any fan support because you won't get it.

Race Tips

We had hot weather in 2013 not sure if that's normal or not. Course has a few small rollers but not enough to slow you down but enough to allow you to use different muscles. Could be a fast course w/ cool temps.

Logistical Tips (Hotels, Restaurants, Parking, Discounts, etc.)

I stayed in an inexpensive Motel 6 about 35 minutes away. Parking was super easy w/ such a small field on near by streets or parking lots. I arrived an hour early and could've arrived much later.
