Georgia has 13 active marathons this year. Races are most common in March, January, and October. Course terrain for these courses is most often rolling hills or mostly flat. Typical race day temperatures range from 45°F to 77°F.
Popular races include the Atlanta Marathon, Classic City Marathon, and Chickamauga Battlefield Marathon. 12 certified courses can be great Boston qualifier options. Races with the best Boston qualifying percentages include the Combos Marathon — 15.9% BQ and Bound for Boston Marathon — 15.3% BQ.
