Course Description
The Rockies Marathon drops approximately 4,700 feet from the start eleven miles up Squaw Valley Road (~10,400') and finishes in Morrison (~5,700').
Although the course is extremely downhill and potentially can be very fast (net drop of 4.700 feet), the high course elevation may adversely affect some runners - especially those not acclimated to the altitude.
**Weather data is from the finish line. Temperatures will be much cooler (15-25° F cooler) at the start and gets warmer as runners travel down the mountain.
