The flat Operation Jack Marathon course consists of a 6.55 mile segment along the Pacific Ocean and Ballona Creek.
The course first heads to the north turnaround at 4.15 miles, heads back 6.55 miles to the south turnaround in Manhattan Beach. Runners then head 2.4 miles back to the start/finish line to complete the course again.
There is only 29 feet of elevation difference between the high and low points of the course.
