Course Description

The Montgomery Marathon starts at the Alley's Water Tower in downtown Montgomery. The first two miles are uphill.

Around mile 3, the course goes through Montgomery's oldest park, Oak Park. Runners travel over I-85.

Between miles 6 through 9, runners go through Huntingdon College the Old Cloverdale neighborhood.

Runners will then encounter a hill on Perry St. around mile 10, cross over I-85 again, and run through downtown Montgomery.

The course then travels through Maxwell Air Force Base. Here, the course is comprised of 11 flat miles along side the Alabama River and airfields.

Leaving he air base, runners go over I-65 and make their way back into Montgomery with a finish in the outfield of Riverwalk Stadium.
