This is a runner's race. Nothing fancy just very well supported. Volunteers at water stations are amazing. Food and showers at the high school is always great
I live within driving distance so can't comment on accommodations

Friendliest race EVER!!!! Rural country running with aid every mile to include port-o-potties. Lemme tell ya! Nowhere else will you get a post race meal, shower, indoor plumbing for $40 Bucks! That's right! $40 BUCKS! If you call the race director, he actually answers! If you email the RD he emails you back! What a gem! Oh! By the way it's also a Boston Qualifier! Can't say enough about this small town race!
Race Tips
Be conservative for the first mile as it's a slight grade, but distance yourself from the pack from there to mile 4! Slightly rolling in nature just enough to feel uphill both ways. Not pancake flat, but not a run through mountains!
Being a small town race the hotel choices are limited. My advice is to stay in Memphis. It's only about a hr drive down I55 then to hwy 64. Directions are well laid out on the www.midsouthmarathon.com website.
