Review
Beautiful and fast course, not much crowd support and can get lonely if you are a faster runner. But overall this race did exactly what I hoped, turned my 5:30 BQ cushion into 9:30. The downhill is gradual and barely noticeable at times. The group putting it on did a good job, they had some issues with timing due to poor service but it was resolved. It's a bare bones race with the focus on a BQ, and for me and many others it achieved exactly that.
Race Tips
Go by feel, it is a gradual downhill overall but some areas are more noticeable while some just seem flat. Keep the effort consistent and don't worry if you get a couple miles faster than Goal pace.
If you have someone with you, stay in White Haven and skip the buses-you'll get about an extra hour of sleep. Eat at the Powerhouse Eatery the night before, get reservations!
