The out-and-back Grand Valley Marathon course begins and ends at 4,725 feet in Palisade runs along the base of the Grand Mesa and through the orchards and vineyards to the turnaround point.
The course is comprised of moderately rolling hills throughout. However, the hill at mile 4 climbs 195 feet as you ascend a scenic overlook of the Grand Valley. At mile 21, runners will descend this prominent hill.
