The Beat the 539 Marathon is run through the through the nation's only Tri-Service Base, McGuire (U.S. Air Force) Dix (U.S. Army) Lakehurst (U.S. NAVY) (Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst).
The course starts on the flight line of the McGuire section of JB MDL and continues through the ranges of the Dix section toward Route 539. Here runers cross into the Lakehurst section of JB MDL. The finish is at the Hindenburg Monument.
