Course Description

**Slight course changes for 2016**

The USA Fit Marathon course goes from the University of Houston-Sugar Land campus, past the Sugar Land Memorial Park and into the New Territory neighborhood, and back to the University of Houston.

It is a very flat, fast course that consists of two out and backs. There is less than 20 feet of elevation change between the high and low points of the course.

The USA Fit Marathon was the 302nd largest marathon in the U.S. last year and was the 271st largest in 2015.

Last year 5.7% of finishers qualified for the Boston Marathon and 5% of runners qualified for Boston in 2015.

Every year is a new adventure and was silly enough to do it 3 times. Course changes every year and this year, we ended up running through each other due to race not staying on course. Apparently, the race director did not ride out with the police to ensure he went the right way. Got to water station 1. I depend on this to ensure hydration stays constant. No one and no water out. WTH! To start a race off like this is unfathomable. After 3 different courses, water issues, walkers 3 across causing runners to go into the traffic lane and the pretty high price, never again. See my running friends after this race as it is not fun.
