Course Description

The Irving Marathon course is relatively flat (with some hills in the first and last three miles). The course starts at the Irving Convention Center and incorporates the Campion Trails. The course is on 100% on paved surfaces (no grass, no levees).

Although the course is fast, the early April weather (typical race time temperatures in low 60s and humid) may slow the pursuit of BQs and PRs by some runners.

This gives the Irving Marathon the 422nd highest percentage of Boston Marathon qualifiers in the U.S. last year and the 289th highest percentage in 2014.

Its Course Score of 98.96 ranks it as the 191st fastest marathon course in the U.S. and the 13th fastest course in Texas.
