Course Description

The Calgary Marathon loop course starts and ends at the Calgary Stampede with the finish in front of the grandstand. The course rises gradually from approximately mile 7 to 12 and then back down (with a few small rolling hills) from there to approximately mile 16. From mile 19 to the finish at the grandstand, it is mostly a gradual downhill or flat.

The course was fairly fast and hit a lot of the areas in Calgary. Was very disappointed with the very low numbers of Calgarians out to cheer the runners on.
