Course Description

The Black Bear Marathon course is a double loop of a 13.1-mile route that starts and finishes on the track at Alfond Stadium on the campus of the University of Maine. The course travels through Orono and Old Town and back through the university bike path.

The Black Bear Marathon was the 444th largest marathon in the U.S. last year and was the 421st largest in 2015.

Last year 18.6% of finishers qualified for the Boston Marathon and 18.9% of runners qualified for Boston in 2015.
