Course Description

**No 2016 Marathon - May return in 2017**

The Army Marathon course is a net downhill, point-to-point course, but has quite a few rolling hills between Killeen and Temple. Moving the race from mid-April to early March should result in cooler weather and faster finishing times than the 2013 edition.

The highest point on the course comes at approximately 1.7 miles, near the intersection of S.W. Young and Zephyr Road. The lowest point on the course comes at approximately mile 16.7 on FM 439 between Sparta Road and the Belton Lake Dam.

Great course support. Not a lot of scenery, but a good point to point course.

Race Tips

Rolling hills, but only two of them are what I'd describe as significant. The first is around mile 1, so it should be out of the way while your legs are still fresh. The second hill is between miles 20 - 21
