The Arizona Marathon course slopes gently downhill for approximately the first 10 miles then is mostly flat until the finish. A good early year PR course.
The course winds through desert scenery in the shadows of the Estrella and White Tank Mountains.
The marathon starts at Verrado in Buckeye and continues through Goodyear, Avondale, Litchfield Park, Phoenix and Glendale to finish at the Westgate City Center.
