The Silverton Alpine Marathon is an approximately 26.7 mile loop in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado. The course follows the "Alpine Loop" jeep roads past the ghost mining towns of Howardsville, Eureka, Animas Forks and Gladstone.
The high point of the course is 12,930 feet atop California Pass. The low point is Silverton at 9,318 feet.
The Silverton Alpine Marathon was the th largest marathon in the U.S. last year and was the th largest in 2014.
