The Niagara Falls International Marathon starts by the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo N.Y. The first 6.5km (4 miles) of the raceruns on the parkways of Buffalo before crossing the Peace Bridge into Fort Erie, Ontario. The course then follows the Niagara River Parkway and finishes at the magnificent Niagara Falls.
The course is flat and fast and has hosted two USA men's Olympic marathon trials in 1980 and 1984.
The Niagara Falls International Marathon was the 10th largest marathon in Canada last year and was the 9th largest in 2014.
Last year 7.8% of finishers qualified for the Boston Marathon and 6.8% of runners qualified for Boston in 2014.
