**Chasing the Unicorn Marathon returns in 2017**
The Chasing the Unicorn Marathon course is a double out-and back along the historic Delaware Canal State Park towpath trail. The course runs from Washington Crossing Historic Park north to the southern edge of New Hope, Pennsylvania, turning around near Che Odette's, back to the start line, and then completing the same out and back.
The first and last half miles and a half mile of each lo0p are on paved surface. The rest of the loop is packed crushed argulite (think cinder high school track surface).
There is only approximately 22 feet difference between the highest and lowest elevation points on the course.
The Chasing the Unicorn Marathon was the 401st largest marathon in the U.S. last year.
Its Course Score of 99.67 ranks it as the 64th fastest marathon course in the U.S. and the 7th fastest course in Pennsylvania.
