**There will not be a Chasing the Unicorn Marathon in 2016**
The Chasing the Unicorn Marathon course is a double out-and back along the historic Delaware Canal State Park towpath trail. The course runs from Washington Crossing Historic Park north to the southern edge of New Hope, Pennsylvania, turning around near Che Odette's, back to the start line, and then completing the same out and back.
The first and last half miles and a half mile of each lo0p are on paved surface. The rest of the loop is packed crushed argulite (think cinder high school track surface).
There is only approximately 22 feet difference between the highest and lowest elevation points on the course.
The Chasing the Unicorn Marathon was the 296th largest marathon in the U.S. last year and was the 269th largest in 2014.
Last year 22.2% of finishers qualified for the Boston Marathon and 22.3% of runners qualified for Boston in 2014.
This gives the Chasing the Unicorn Marathon the 25th highest percentage of Boston Marathon qualifiers in the U.S. last year and the 20th highest percentage in 2014.
Its Course Score of 99.67 ranks it as the 60th fastest marathon course in the U.S. and the 7th fastest course in Pennsylvania.
