The Buzz Marathon is held on an out-and-back course on paved road with dirt and packed gravel shoulders. The course has with breathtaking views of oak-studded hillsides, Salinas and Nacimiento Rivers and abundant Central Coast wildlife. The course starts and finishes at about 620 feet with high and low points of 550 feet and 1000 feet.
The Buzz Marathon was the 645th largest marathon in the U.S. last year and was the 552nd largest in 2015.
This year 2.8% of finishers qualified for the Boston Marathon and 8.7% of runners qualified for Boston in 2016.
This gives the Buzz Marathon the 250th highest percentage of Boston Marathon qualifiers in the U.S. last year and the 285th highest percentage so far in 2017.
