The Buzz Marathon is held on an out-and-back course on paved road with dirt and packed gravel shoulders. The course has with breathtaking views of oak-studded hillsides, Salinas and Nacimiento Rivers and abundant Central Coast wildlife. The course starts and finishes at about 620 feet with high and low points of 550 feet and 1000 feet.
The Buzz Marathon was the 560th largest marathon in the U.S. last year and was the 506th largest in 2014.
Last year 2.5% of finishers qualified for the Boston Marathon and 5.7% of runners qualified for Boston in 2014.
This gives the Buzz Marathon the 446th highest percentage of Boston Marathon qualifiers in the U.S. last year and the 325th highest percentage in 2014.
