Course Description: Ridge Runner Marathon

All courses begin and end in North Bend State Park. The altitude of the area ranges from 500 ft to 1300 feet above sea level. The first portion of the race is along winding paved roads, and returns back to the park along the North Bend Rail Trail, which is similar to a dirt/gravel road that is very flat and straight.

Course Description: Sunburst Marathon

From the Sunburst Marathon website - "The course is flat compared to most marathons, with a few short steep hills and one half mile incline. The course follows a shallow river bottom, which results in the hills. The course is not as flat as the Chicago Marathon. It is significantly flatter than Portland, Nashville, Marine Corps, Dallas and Amarillo. It is similar to Cleveland and Detroit."
